About Our Founder
Elsa Carlson, LMT
I was born in Boulder, Colorado, where I was surrounded by nature and introduced to massage therapy and energy work at a young age. My early exposure to healing work sparked a passion for holistic wellness and the wisdom of the natural world.
I grew up moving throughout Colorado, Texas, California, and Massachusetts. Growing up in different states taught me adaptability and empathy, reminding me that no matter where we are, we all need connection, care, and a place to feel at home in our bodies.

A LIFE SHAPED BY MOVEMENT
From Soccer and Yoga to Muay Thai Boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, movement has always been my way back to myself.
These practices built me: physically, mentally, and spiritually. Discipline, flow, and constantly learning how to move better shaped who I am today.
Movement taught me not just to get by, but to live with strength and vulnerability.
LEARNING BEYOND THE TREATMENT ROOM
Travel has been part of my life for as long as I can remember and has been one of my greatest teachers. A family trip to Thailand deeply inspired me and led me to both begin practicing Muay Thai and gave me the courage to pursue one of my lifelong goals: traveling on my own.
At 22, I spent nine months traveling abroad solo, including six months in Indonesia. While living there, I immersed myself in massage, yoga, surfing, and daily rituals of movement. This time helped me reconnect with my body and discover the beauty of slow living, presence, and stillness.
These experiences shaped the way I approach healing—with respect, humility, and sincere appreciation for the traditions and cultures that have influenced the therapies and tools I share. The lessons I’ve gathered through travel continue to guide how I hold space for others, both in the treatment room and in life.
